The 21 items used were created by the team of experts (including two authors of this paper), who worked on the questionnaire consisting of 84 items examining the evolution of strategic management during the development of the enterprise. The project was supported by N N115 402240, and the questionnaire covering all 84 items was published in a book entitled Ewolucja zarządzania strategicznego w trakcie rozwoju przedsiębiorstw, Kaleta A. (ed.) 2014, C.H. Beck. The following team was involved in the mentioned project: Kaleta A., Witek-Crabb, A., Ignacy I., Sołoducho-Pelc, L., Jakubów L., Moszkowicz K., Wojnicka A., Kuczyński P., Radomska J., Wołczek P. Thus, the workshops and survey described in the paper were used to gather the data and complete the project. For the purpose of this paper, we performed Stage 1 (concepts outline) to reuse the original items that we found relevant to the open strategy scale. In Stage 2, we designed the study to test the scale, and for this purpose, we used the recalled raw data. The authors would like to express their apologies for any inconvenience that may have arisen.
