Abstract: India's top business schools, including the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs), are facing challenges in securing job placements for their students this year. The impact of the global economic slowdown and over-hiring during the post-Covid job boom are being felt at the IIMs, where final placements are currently underway or will begin soon. This placement season is proving to be one of the most difficult ever for the top IIMs, such as Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta, Lucknow, Indore, and Kozhikode, according to officials and students. While many individuals preferred to remain anonymous, they expressed concerns about the situation, according to an ET report.
