Abstract: The article presents a case study on the interstate water conflicts in the Colorado Basin in Western U.S. It says that the Colorado Water Delivery Agreement 2003 is an action to resolve a potential dispute among states stakeholder on water use. According to the agreement, California should keep its 1929 promise to regulate the use of water in Colorado River to 4.4 million acre-feet by taking specific and incremental steps to deal with environmental concerns in the Salton Sea.
