dc.description.abstract | The fast-paced growth of technology paradigms has forced IT firms across the world to look for novel ways to innovate and stay competitive. This case documents the journey of Wipro Limited, one of the largest IT services firms of India as it adopted an open innovation approach to stay in competition. Wipro partnered with start-ups across India and the US through multiple modes to develop an ecosystem which could benefit both Wipro, its clients as well the smaller technology start-ups. The case brings forth intricacies of a success story of the implementation of a multi-pronged approach to develop an open innovation ecosystem in the IT industry and explores how Wipro creates synergies between its different paths for open innovation. | |
