Data Center Infrastructure Management is a high growth domain which has a huge potential market both in mature as well as emerging economies. GreenField Software (GFS) was founded by Mr. Shekhar Dashgupta in Kolkata, India in the year 2010 that targets this new and growing market. The entrepreneurship route was not easy for Shekhar. Challenges related to initial product, resources, external vendor etc. daunted his path; but the organization could still manage to grow more than 10 times in last 2-3 years because of their well-planned partnership strategy and unwavering focus on growth. At present GFS boasts industry leaders like IBM and Intel as their trusted partners. It also boasts of reputed organizations in India like IDFC, CESC, BPCL, a big educational institute and NCELL as their clients. GFS has been able to establish itself as a market leader in the mid-sized DCIM software segment. GFS leadership team feels that it is high time to explore the expansion path in new geography as well as into related domains and then at a logical juncture pivot into new market altogether to sustain the growth.
