dc.description.abstracthe Diamond Jubilee celebrations of IIM Calcutta began with a musical performance by Pandit Tushar Dutta and group. They presented a rendition of raga Bhimpalashi. IIM Calcutta director Uttam Kumar Sarkar welcomes the guests and audience. Sunil Kumar Alagh, managing director of SKA Advisors Pvt Ltd and a third batch alumnus, was one of the four recipients of the Distinguished Alumnus Award. Vallabh Sambamurthy, dean of Wisconsin School of Business and an IIM Calcutta alumnus of the 18th batch, received the second Distinguished Alumnus Award. Srinath Narsimhan, chief executive officer of Tata Trusts, also received the Distinguished Alumnus Award. He is a 21st batch alumnus.en_US
